Tonight’s meeting was the District 6630 Polio Eradication, Foundation Giving and Membership Building Seminar.

Meeting Agenda: Welcoming remarks by Ron Quine

Remarks by District Governor Dr. Tim Wright

Remarks by District Governor Elect Jack Harig

Polio “On the Ropes” Going for the Knockout by Mike Johns.

The membership split into two groups. One discussed Foundation Giving and the other discussed Membership Building.

District Representatives in attendance were: District Governor-Dr. Tim Wright; Distict Governor Elect-Jack Harig; Past District Governors-Mike Johns, Gordon Keller and Jim Frame; Other District Representatives-Lee Hansford, Marsha Pappalardo, our very own Mark Sutherland and the ever popular and witty Al Conners.

Also present were 10 members of the Brunswick club led by their President Mona Mims, 4 members from the Sunrise Club led by their President Travis Jordon, Allen Rom-President of the Lodi Club and Viriginia Ojno from the Akron Club.

Upcoming programs: February 27 – Club Fun Auction – bring an item to have auctioned off!!

March 6 – National Alliance for the Mentally Ill

March 13- Auction Recognition Night

March 20 – Offsite meeting to be announced.

Announcements:

Allen Rom announced that the Lodi Club now meets at 5:30 pm.

On February 27^th there will be a video birthday party for James McClintock at 6:00 p.m. in honor of his 100^th birthday. If you wish to include a video message, please contact Roy Harriger

NEW MEMBERS WILL BE INDUCTED ON FEBRUARY 27, 2003.

THE MEDINA ROTARY CLUB AUCTION will be on Sunday, March 2, 2003 at the Rustic Hills County Club. The Silent Auction begins at 10:00 am and the Live Auction begins at 12:00 pm. The sign up sheet to help has been circulating at the meetings.

Directory updates: Please fill out your information sheet and turn it in ASAP to Darlene. New pictures will be taken on February 27^th. They hope to have to project finished by the end of the month.

Citizen of the Year: Cinzia Rolling has accepted the responsibility of overseeing this years contest. Nomination Forms are still available.

Every person you meet today is either a demolition site or a construction opportunity. Your words will make a difference.
